We are a dedicated team of Chartered Physiotherapists specialising in the treatment of Neurological conditions. Alongside our core physiotherapy expertise, we collaborate with a wider multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists and speech and language therapists, available upon request.
We strongly believe in the importance of interdisciplinary teamwork for achieving optimal outcomes in neurorehabilitation.

Chandani Shah is a highly specialist neurological physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience in neurological physiotherapy across six NHS Trusts and multiple neurorehabilitation and stroke units nationwide. She holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Neurophysiotherapy (with distinction) from University College London and currently practices at a Level 1 Neurorehabilitation Unit in London.

Clinical Expertise
As part of her MSc, Chandani gained a qualification in Injection Therapy from Lancashire University. She is an injecting clinician at the Botulinum Toxin Spasticity Clinic and serves as the lead clinician for the Joint Orthotic Service, offering specialist expertise in both areas.
Chandani is trained in Basic Bobath concepts but adopts a flexible, patient-centred approach that prioritises problem-solving to meet individual needs. She is skilled in integrating adjunct therapies, including Neuromuscular and functional Electrical Stimulation (NMES & FES), splints, specialised exercise equipment, assistive technology and taping. Her experience enables her to address barriers such as motivation, fatigue, and challenges with memory or problem-solving to optimise patient outcomes.
Teaching and Movement Analysis
Chandani is passionate about teaching individuals how to move more efficiently and effectively through a combination of strengthening, stretching, and movement analysis. She focuses on empowering patients to understand and improve their movement patterns to enhance functional independence and quality of life.
Passion and Vision
Chandani is passionate about delivering the right intensity of therapy to drive neuroplasticity and achieve meaningful functional changes for her patients. Her treatment philosophy emphasises designing intensive therapy sessions that are both challenging and individualised to patient goals.
Her MSc thesis focused on the intensity in neurorehabilitation inspired her to establish INTENSE Therapies – a service built around her vision for high-quality, goal-driven intensive neurological rehabilitation.

Ailsa is an experienced physiotherapist with 14 years of practice across acute and community settings, and 7 years specialising in neuro rehabilitation. She has extensive experience treating a wide range of neurological conditions, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, vestibular disorders, and functional neurological disorders (FND).

Ailsa is Bobath-trained, with a strong focus on tailored, patient-centred care to help individuals achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Her treatment approach combines evidence-based techniques, including education, exercise programs, electrical stimulation, splinting, and hands-on therapy.
She is committed to providing holistic care that addresses not only physical challenges but also promotes confidence and independence in daily life.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Ailsa is passionate about neuro fitness and runs group exercise classes specifically designed for individuals with neurological conditions. Through these programs, she helps her patients build strength, improve fitness, and achieve a sense of empowerment, no matter their diagnosis.
As a qualified Pilates instructor, Ailsa integrates movement-based therapy to enhance recovery, focusing on core strength, balance, and flexibility.
Her dedication to helping people get stronger and fitter, despite the challenges of living with a neurological condition, is at the heart of her practice.

Jo is a specialist neurological physiotherapist with 17 years of experience. Jo has worked in 3 trauma centres in London, within the acute, outpatient, rehabilitation and community settings giving her broad experience which enables her to guide clients through their rehabilitation journey.

Jo has worked with clients living with different neurological conditions including Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, motor neurone disease, Parkinson’s Disease. Her passion lies in working with people to achieve their functional goals improve quality of life utilising a flexible and creative approach to rehabilitation and disability management.
Jo obtained her BSc in physiotherapy from King’s College London and was awarded a distinction in her MSc at University College London. Jo has completed postgraduate training in the Bobath approach, hydrotherapy, yoga for neurological conditions, gait re-education and balance rehabilitation.

Gemma is a highly skilled Occupational Therapist working in London and Essex for the last 8 years in a combination of inpatient and community settings. She has specialised in neurorehabilitation for the last 4 years and she is passionate about supporting people’s independence and autonomy. She is experienced in working with patients who have complex physical, cognitive-behavioural and communication needs following a stroke or brain injury.
Gemma enjoys problem solving and helping people find new or adapted ways of doing what’s important to them.

Bela is a dedicated neurological physiotherapist with clinical experience in neurorehabilitation, particularly in the management of stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and spinal cord injuries. Her interest in neurological rehabilitation began during her undergraduate studies, leading her to work in a specialised neurorehabilitation setup immediately after graduation.

To enhance her clinical reasoning and understanding of neurorehabilitation, Bela pursued an MSc in Neurophysiotherapy at University College London, achieving a merit. She has experience using Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) for gait training and integrating various technologies, such as virtual reality, as adjuncts to rehabilitation.
Bela is eager to apply her MSc learning in patient management, ensuring a holistic approach that addresses not just physical impairments but also the broader functional and psychological needs of patients.

Sarah Clarke is a highly experienced Neurological Physiotherapist who qualified in 2017. She has worked across acute hospitals, community services, private rehabilitation and as an associate with other specialist practices.
This breadth of experience enables her to support clients through every stage of their rehabilitation journey.
She is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP 101855) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC PH112131).
Sarah specialises in the rehabilitation of individuals with stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, functional neurological disorder (FND), Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and motor neurone disease (MND). She also has a strong interest in falls prevention and management.
She completed her BSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire and has undertaken specialist training in the Bobath concept, vestibular rehabilitation, splinting, and movement analysis.
Sarah has also completed postgraduate modules at University College London, further enhancing her clinical expertise.
Her approach is evidence-based, personalised, and goal-driven, with a focus on maximising intensity and motivation in every session.

Laetitia is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist, with more than 17 years of practice across the NHS and private sectors—from acute hospital wards to inpatient rehabilitation and nearly a decade in community settings.
Her clinical expertise spans a broad range of progressive and acquired neurological conditions, including traumatic brain injury, stroke, functional neurological disorders (FND), Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and Motor Neurone Disease.

Laetitia is fluent in both French and English, specialising in assessment and treatment of communication impairments such as aphasia, dysarthria, apraxia of speech, and cognitive communication disorders.
She is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT), an evidence-based speech intervention recognised as the gold-standard for Parkinson’s disease, and highly effective for other neurological conditions.
Her competency extends to the assessment and management of neurological swallowing disorders, including experience in conducting and analysing videofluoroscopy studies (swallow x-ray).

Shikha is a dynamic, HCPC-registered physiotherapist with over 12 years of progressive NHS experience across acute, community and specialist neuro-rehabilitation services.
She specialises in complex rehabilitation, falls prevention and post-acute care, with a strong focus on maximising independence and long-term outcomes.
She has completed a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University, followed by an MSc in Applying Physiotherapy (Neurology), and a PhD in post-stroke upper limb rehabilitation. This strong academic foundation, combined with extensive clinical practice, enables her to deliver a highly specialist, research-informed approach.
Shikha supports individuals with a wide range of neurological, vestibular and frailty-related conditions, including stroke, balance disorders, dizziness, post-Covid rehabilitation, complex community presentations and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND).
She is Bobath-trained and skilled in multifactorial assessment, risk management and MDT care planning.

Postgraduate Training and Specialist Skills
Amy holds a degree in Physiotherapy and has undertaken ongoing postgraduate training to support her specialist neuro practice, including Basic Bobath, gait re-education, vestibular rehabilitation, shoulder and upper limb rehabilitation, balance rehabilitation, yoga within neurorehabilitation, Prolonged Disorders of Consciousness (PDOC) and tracheostomy management. Her particular clinical interest is balance and vestibular rehabilitation, supporting people to improve stability, confidence and safe mobility.

Her career spans Adult Social Care, acute surgery, haematology, and acute stroke services, before specialising in stroke and neurological rehabilitation more than a decade ago across both inpatient and community Early Supported Discharge (ESD) settings.
Carly has been instrumental in developing the Vocational Rehabilitation service across West Essex and Hertfordshire, supporting stroke survivors to successfully return to work and rebuild meaningful daily routines.
Known for her calm, holistic, and empathetic approach, Carly is passionate about empowering individuals to reach their full potential. She is dedicated to delivering personalised therapy that enables people to lead independent, purposeful, and fulfilling lives.

Mary is a highly experienced physiotherapist combining specialities of neurological rehabilitation and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She has over 12 years experience in the NHS in a broad range of clinical areas in acute and community settings.
She specialised in inpatient and outpatient neurological rehabilitation of clients including those with MS, Parkinson’s, stroke, MND and brain injury and was involved in setting up a new service for long term neurological conditions in north London. More recently she has also specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy including peripheral joint and spinal assessments for acute and chronic conditions.

She is committed to evidence-based practice and uses treatments including exercise, hands-on treatment, gait and balance rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and functional rehabilitation programmes. She also lived in South America for 7 years and is fluent in Spanish.
Mary is passionate about individualised care and achieving client centred goals. She is a positive and empathetic physiotherapist working collaboratively with her clients for meaningful change and empowering independence.
